About Custom Stickers
This is the starting point for anyone who knows they want stickers but has not yet pinned down the details. Brands order them for packaging and giveaways, event organizers for attendees, makers for the products they sell, schools and nonprofits for campaigns, and individuals for laptops, water bottles and gifts. Every order is printed from your artwork, to your dimensions, after you approve a proof. Customers rate the service 4.96 out of 5 across 250 ProvenExpert reviews, and the choices below are the ones the team walks through on most orders.
Start with the job, not the material
Write down where the sticker will end up and who will handle it. A sticker sealing a shipping mailer, one sold at a craft fair and one stuck to a hard hat on a job site need very different things, even when they carry the same logo. Knowing the destination answers most of the later questions for you.
Four choices that shape your quote
- Shape. Circles, squares, ovals and rectangles are simple and tidy. A die cut sticker follows the outline of your design and suits logos, characters and illustrations.
- Material. Paper is common for indoor uses such as envelopes and packaging, and vinyl is the usual request for items that get handled. Clear, reflective, holographic, fluorescent and metallic looks are also worth asking about.
- Finish. Ask for gloss or matte, depending on the look you want and where the light will hit the sticker.
- Format. Individually cut pieces are easy to hand out, sheet stickers group several designs together, and roll stickers suit anyone applying large numbers at a packing bench.
Planning quantities and versions
Many orders include more than one design, such as a logo sticker plus a seasonal version, or one design per product flavor. List each design with the size and number you need. If several people on your team need to approve the artwork, gather their feedback before the PDF proof arrives, because printing starts only after approval.
Sending your files
The print-ready format is a .cdr or .eps file in CMYK at 300 dpi with 3mm bleed on every side, with die cut lines drawn as a 1mm black line. A PDF is fine for a first look, and if all you have is a sketch or photo, the free design support can help recreate it. The artwork file guide explains each step, and the quotation form is where you send size, shape, quantity, material, usage and artwork. If a date matters, contact the team before ordering to ask about faster delivery.
Custom Stickers questions, answered
What are custom stickers most commonly used for?
Businesses use them for packaging, mailers and giveaways; makers for product branding; event organizers for attendee gifts; and individuals for laptops, bottles and personal gifts. The intended use tells us which shape, material and format to suggest, so describe it when you request a quote.
Should I choose vinyl or paper stickers?
Paper is a common pick for indoor jobs like envelope seals and packaging that is opened once. Vinyl is usually requested for stickers that get handled, wiped or used outside. If you are not sure, explain where the sticker will go and the team will recommend an option.
When does a die cut shape make more sense than a standard shape?
Choose a die cut when the outline of your design is part of its appeal, such as a mascot, lettering or an illustration. Standard circles and rectangles suit text-heavy stickers and designs with a full background. The design team can advise once they see your artwork.
How should I plan an order with several different sticker designs?
List every design with its own size and quantity, and note which ones share a shape so they can be grouped. Sheet stickers are handy when several small designs belong together, such as a set sold as a pack. Send all the artwork at once so everything is checked together.

What Our Customers Say
Real reviews, quoted exactly as published on ProvenExpert.
I have been looking for a company that could provide quality water proof labels for a very long time. I stumbled across Print Design & Tech R US LTD via Google searching, last year October 2024. Since then I have used them another 3 times and we will continue to do so. Olivia and her team are fantastic, from the proofing, making a phone call to ensure the correct information. The quality of the labels are just what we have been looking for. Keep up the great work Ken
Brian Smith and his Manager and staff have been amazing with implementing our label designs and preparing the items. We receive regular updates on the progress of the printing stages and Brian is more than happy to make changes to our labels. highly recommend.
I agree with the many comments already written. They accomomated my slightly unusual order and even over the Thanksgiving holidays were very responsive and kept the ball rolling. Good job everyone! Norm
