About Candle Labels
Candle makers usually need more than one label per product. There is the front label with the brand and scent name, a lid label for tins that are stacked on a shelf, and a bottom or back label for burn instructions and safety warnings. Home crafters selling at markets, boutique brands shipping online and wedding planners making favors all order from this category, which includes rectangular, square, round, die cut and custom candle labels in the dimensions you give us.
Matching the label to the vessel
- Straight glass tumblers: a rectangular wrap or front panel; measure the circumference and the straight height.
- Tins: a round lid label close to the lid diameter, plus a smaller side or base label.
- Amber and frosted jars: check how your artwork colors look against a tinted or cloudy background.
- Votives and tea light gift sets: small round labels, or a single label on the outer sleeve.
Wax, warmth and handling
Labels sit on containers that get warm, pass through customers' hands and sometimes pick up fragrance oil during pouring. Apply labels to clean vessels, and wipe away any oil before they go on. Keep the front label away from the top rim so it stays clear of the flame. When you ask for a quote, tell us the vessel material and whether labels go on before or after pouring, and we will talk through a suitable material with you. Clear stock gives a no-label look on glass, while gold labels suit gift ranges and holiday collections.
Planning a scent range
A typical candle collection keeps the brand block and layout identical and changes the scent name, notes and an accent color on each design. Put the fixed information, such as burn guidance, net weight and your website, in the same place on every version so the range looks tidy on a shelf. Then list every scent with its label quantity in one request. Seasonal scents can be added later using the same template. Our team reviews your artwork for free and emails a PDF proof, and printing starts only after you approve it.
Candle Labels questions, answered
Which labels does a candle jar usually need?
Most sellers use a front label with the brand and scent, plus a back or bottom label for burn instructions, safety warnings, net weight and contact details. Tins often add a round lid label so the scent can be seen when they are stacked.
Which label shape suits a candle tin?
A round label sized slightly smaller than the lid diameter is the usual choice, leaving a thin rim of metal showing. For the side of a tin, measure the straight band between the rolled edges and use a narrow rectangle.
How should I design labels for a whole scent collection?
Keep your logo, fonts and layout the same across every scent, and vary only the scent name, fragrance notes and an accent color. Send the master design plus a list of scents and quantities, and we will prepare each version for proofing.
Can I put the same label design on candles of different sizes?
One design can be produced in several sizes, but check that the text is still legible on the smallest vessel. List each size with its own quantity, and consider a simplified version with fewer details for mini candles and samples.

What Our Customers Say
Real reviews, quoted exactly as published on ProvenExpert.
I have been looking for a company that could provide quality water proof labels for a very long time. I stumbled across Print Design & Tech R US LTD via Google searching, last year October 2024. Since then I have used them another 3 times and we will continue to do so. Olivia and her team are fantastic, from the proofing, making a phone call to ensure the correct information. The quality of the labels are just what we have been looking for. Keep up the great work Ken
Brian Smith and his Manager and staff have been amazing with implementing our label designs and preparing the items. We receive regular updates on the progress of the printing stages and Brian is more than happy to make changes to our labels. highly recommend.
I agree with the many comments already written. They accomomated my slightly unusual order and even over the Thanksgiving holidays were very responsive and kept the ball rolling. Good job everyone! Norm
