About Large Stickers

When a sticker has to be read from across a room or a parking lot, the ordinary rules change. Large stickers are used on storefront glass, office walls, trade show backdrops, trailers, equipment cases and event venues, and each of those spots has its own limits. The two products here cover full graphics, such as a logo or illustration printed big, and large letter stickers for words, numbers and signage.

Measure the surface first

Take real measurements of the space before any design work starts, and note obstacles like door handles, window frames, rivets or panel seams. A graphic that crosses a seam may need to be split into sections that line up. For glass, decide whether the sticker is read from outside, inside or both, because that affects how the artwork is set up. Making letters readable from a distance

Big lettering works well with simple, heavy fonts and strong contrast against the surface behind it. Thin script and tightly spaced words blur together when viewed from far away. Keep the message short and allow generous space between lines. If you are ordering letters or numbers as separate pieces, tell us whether you want each character cut individually or grouped into a word.

Artwork that scales cleanly

A small logo saved from a website will look soft when enlarged. Vector files in .cdr or .eps format keep edges sharp at any size; send CMYK artwork with 3mm bleed. If you only have a low-resolution image, our design team can help recreate it. Share the finished dimensions, quantity, surface, whether it is indoors or outdoors and how it will be installed, and we will send a PDF proof before printing.

What surfaces are large stickers usually applied to?

Common surfaces include storefront glass, smooth painted walls, display panels, vehicle doors, trailer sides and hard equipment cases. Textured brick, rough concrete and freshly painted walls are harder for any adhesive, so describe the surface carefully when you request a quote and we can advise before you commit.

Should a very large graphic be printed in one piece or several panels?

It depends on the space and how it will be installed. One piece avoids joins but is harder for a single person to position. Splitting a graphic along natural breaks, such as window mullions or door edges, often makes installation easier. Send photos and measurements and our designers can suggest where to divide it.

How tall should large letter stickers be for a storefront?

Think about where people will read them. Hours on a door are read up close, so modest letter heights work, while a business name meant for passing traffic needs much taller characters and a bold font. Stand at the viewing distance with a printed mock-up, then send us the height that reads comfortably.

Can large stickers be used for temporary events and promotions?

Many are used for grand openings, sales, conferences and venue branding that only stays up for a short time. Tell us how long the graphic needs to stay in place and whether it must come off cleanly afterward, so we can discuss material options with you.
